All Saints Nursery was established to provide educational nursery care to pre-school children and we pride ourselves on our contribution to the pre-school teaching each child receives with us.

The Nursery is open during Norfolk school term dates and offers sessions up to 5 hours long.
Morning sessions (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri): 9am till 11:30am
Afternoon sessions (Mon &Fri): 11:30am till 2pm
Some children enjoy a morning and afternoon session together ie. 9am to 2pm.
All families are offered the first session free following their initial visit to
the nursery.
Fees
Sessions are charged at a rate of £3.20 per hour.
All fees are payable a half term in advance. All sessions booked must be paid for. Any difficulties in paying should be discussed with the Treasurer. Free places may be offered at the discretion of the management committee.
The Nursery is registered to receive government funding for children from three years old (as defined by the LEA
which means from the beginning of the term after their 3rd birthday) for a maximum of five 2½ hour sessions per week for 38 weeks per year until they begin school.
This will rise to six sessions from September 2010. Any additional time attended
by children that is not covered by the funding will be charged at our normal
hourly rate and invoiced half termly in advance.
In order to register your child, please email us
requesting a registration form and return this together with the registration
fee. A £5.00 registration fee is payable when booking a place at the Nursery and
this includes a free t-shirt or sweatshirt.
Session Overview
The Nursery provides a balanced programme of structured and free play activities, involving the children in groups, individually and with adults. A wide variety of toys, puzzles, books and games, creative materials, role play props, music, water and sand are included daily to help develop personal, social, physical, creative, literacy and mathematical skills.
The curriculum for the class is planned and reviewed on a regular basis following the six key areas of learning outlined by the Department for Education and Skills.
More Information
During the session the children make choices about which activities they want to
try, and are encouraged to explore as many as possible, with suitable direction
or intervention from staff. Many activities are extended to develop mathematical
concepts, and pre-writing and reading skills.
The children have access to the outdoor play space at all times if they choose.
Mid way through each session snack time brings everyone together to sit and
enjoy a healthy snack and drink which the children enjoy helping to prepare,
Snacks vary and are always based on healthy eating principles and the theme or
current festival/celebration allowing the children to sample foods from around
the world.
Drinking water is available at all times and children may help themselves to
encourage independence.
At the end of each session children are involved in helping to tidy away before
concluding with a shared story or song time.
Close links with the School are maintained, with visits from teachers and classroom and lunchtime assistants. Outside visitors are also invited, for example, the community police
officer. The children will have the opportunity to visit the Reception class at
All Saints Primary School regularly to become familiar with the building and the staff. The children are encouraged to be independent, to be considerate towards others and to care for equipment. The emphasis is on learning through play within a secure and happy environment.
