The Nursery has a large main room, with a smaller sde room, a kitchen, toilets, storage cupboard and entrance lobby. The rooms are well lit, and are
heated by guarded wall heaters. The tables and chairs are suitable for young children, and cushions and sag sacks are used when appropriate.
Children have access to sand and water trays, painting easels, writing
materials, books and role play activities. A wide variety of equipment is
available to stimulate the children in several ways: to explore, experiment, question, compare, make observations, create, count, order, to act out roles and to co-operate with others.
Aprons are provided for messy play and a bag is given to each child to take
their pictures home in!
The Nursery has its own all weather soft play surface and a grassed
area for outdoor play where the children adore the play house and a large
variety of ride-on toys and equipment such as the caterpillar tunnel and a mini
trampoline. They also enjoy having picnics under the large, shady tree in
the summer.
